Flare Free Food Soya Seasoned Mince (Gluten Free)

Flare Free Food Soya Mince (Serves 5)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup soya mince sachet

  • Dry Peas sachet

  • 2 cups hot  water

Instructions:

  1. Rehydrate the soya mince:

    • In a bowl, pour the hot water over the soya mince.

    • Let it sit for 10–15 minutes, until it absorbs the liquid and softens.

    • Soak the dry peas in 1 and 1/2 cup hot water for 10 min. Then boil separately for further 10-15 min or until soft.
    • No draining of excess liquid is required.

  2. Add soya mince:

    • Stir in the rehydrated soya mince plus the soft boiled peas.

    • No need to add soy sauce, salt, and pepper.

    • Mix well and simmer for another 10-15 minutes, adding a splash of water if it gets too dry.


Serving ideas:

  • Serve with pap, rice, samp, or bread rolls

  • Use as a filling for tacos, wraps, vetkoek, or stuffed peppers

  • Mix with pasta for a quick meat-free Bolognese
